QuartzScapes...and Randy Dukes

This last week has been another exciting one for us here at Genesis Pools.  Randy Dukes (Aquavations) and Rob Blake (PoolCorp) filmed a QuartzScapes application on one of our pools for training purposes nationwide.  Randy Dukes is an expert in his field and has been a part of elevating the industry as a whole.  It was a honor to have them at one of our job sites, a priceless opportunity.  The knowledge gained and partnerships built will help Genesis Pools fulfill the excellence expected of a Master Pools builder.

Water Safety

Spring has sprung and with that comes thoughts of long summer days lounging by the pool.  Those days aren't far off and in preparation we need to also be thinking of pool safety.  APSP, the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), World Waterpark Association (WWA), and the American Red Cross joined together and are sponsoring National Water Safety Month for May.  "Drowning is one of the largest causes of accidental death for American infants and children under the age of five" (APSP).  Prevention is key and there are numerous resources available to do just this.  We supply pool fencing, door alarms and other accessories to protect younger children from gaining access to the pool.  However, these are no substitute to proper education, swim lessons and proper adult supervision.  Each of us need to do our part to make those long summer days by the pool safe.  This next link is an interactive website designed to teach children water safety: http://www.splashzoneusa.com/.  It is our goal to not only make your backyard a retreat, but to also make it safe for all ages to enjoy. 

Master Pools Guild Meeting 2011

Genesis Pools has the distinct honor of being the Central Valley's Master Pools builder, a member of the Master Pools Guild.  This is an international network of "the finest pool builders in the world … providing a forum for members to share building techniques, technology and creative design ideas in their continuous pursuit of building the world's finest pools; embracing a common Code of Ethics relating to integrity, good business practice and respect for the rights of clients, employees and suppliers; developing a global network that clients can trust for quality and value from every  member worldwide." http://www.masterpoolsguild.com/

Twice a year the companies come together for a meeting to continue to gain knowledge and also recognize accomplishments.  At our most recent meeting, held two weeks ago in San Diego, Genesis Pools was presented with 4 Gold Excellence in Design Awards for projects completed within the last 18 months.  Here are the winners:
